At nearly 75,000 acres it is one on the biggest lakes in the eastern U.S. Little and Big Spencer Mountains can be seen on the horizon. This is \"home\" for me. It is located just to the northwest of the 100 mile wilderness. The lake is nearly 20 miles wide at the widest and about 35 miles long and 246 feet deep near Mt Kineo.
