My family has a cabin about 1.5 miles from here. Its been in the family over 70 years. The stateline trail & Surprise Lake was my playground when I was growing up.

The lake and the whole area seemed like a nice place. We will be picking up our AT adventure in the spring up the State line trail going North. Hope to get to the Hudson and then in PA first from Lehigh Valley to NJ, then LV to Harrisburg. Then we move further North and South depending on weather.
That certainly is a nice spot. Keep that cabin in the family and enjoy it with your kids!
