For northbounders, after cresting Blue Mountain approximately 1.9 miles north of the Wertzville Road, PA Route 944 crossing and at approximately 1200 feet elevation, the A.T. descends approximately 500 feet in elevation to a small valley between Blue Mountain and Little Mountain. This is a view of the trail looking north from the side trail to Darlington Shelter.
