My Dad bought one of these stoves when we were on a hike, it was about . . . 1965. Man they are old. -

I got this stove in the mid 70's. It was my first backpacking stove. Used it on my very first solo, four-day trip. Worked great, but no wind protection and needed to be on level ground.
Easy to use, just twist the connector/valve and set a match to it. Never used it on any long trips because of the obvious weight issue, but very convenient for car camping for many years.
