my first stove test....fail....23 degrees, windy in back yard... put stove inside can...about 2 ounces of denatured alcohol...kept going out... kept stove outside all night on purpose but alcohol was room temp... going to get heet....try a vaseline saturated cotton ball...is the can/potholder too small or not enough holes? -

I recommend having a row of holes as close to the bottom of the can as possible, and a row of holes as close to the top as possible. On any wind screen, you want oxygen to come in from the bottom, and exhaust to leave through the top.Also, I recommend doing the following:Find a can that is short and wide like this one: http://ziprage.com/wp-content/upload...e-tuna-can.jpg Empty it.Flip it upside down.Place your stove on it.This will lift it off the cold ground.
