Photo was taken on 4/16/2006. Behind the shelter are spectacular views of Watauga Lake. The shelter sits nearly on top of the ridge which makes it particularly difficult to photograph.

That's the one we skipped. Got there at night, it was full of snow so we pushed on to try for Hampton, but after 29.5 miles we stayed at the shelter just over Watauga.
