A. T. North Of Pogo Memorial Campsite, MD, 05/23/09

North of the Pogo Memorial Campsite the A.T. follows an old wagon road along the crest of South Mountain for approximately two miles. The ascents and descents are gradual over soft ground, but it becomes increasingsly rockier the further north you go. This is a view of the A.T. looking north at a point approximately 2 miles north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite where the trail becomes rockier and begins to narrow. SoBo 1136.7. NoBo 1041.6.
