This was a great cabin. When I went through in October 1976 it had a wood stove, and a regular door, not a lean-to front. The bunks were the same as near as I can see. What a great night with the stove fired up and the door closed to hold the heat. -

It was a dark, muggy cabin when I stayed there on August 4, 1976, even with the windows open. I passed through again, this time SOBO and a day from completing my thru-hike of the Long Trail, on August 28, 1979, when I wrote: "Congdon Camp was just as I remembered – small, dark and stuffy with a pretty river out front. " -
