Understanding that you were not able to move, I would still point out that it is not legal to camp above treeline in the White Mountains unless it is upon a snowfield at least 3 feet deep over the vegetation. The alpine plants do not recover well from trampling since Winter up there starts in October and runs until April, May or even June.

I'm not chastising, because injury is pretty much a universal exception, just commenting for future reference.
