Midway Sam

My first bear encounter. Momma bear and two cubs were about 120' downhill from the AT between Testanee Gap and Cowrock Mtn.

    Wow! A very healthy looking bear! The only time I ever saw a bear on the AT in Georgia was his butt as he vanished into the rhododendron. Great photo!
