This photo was taken on 5/8/2004 at Temple Hill Gap which is located between No Business Knob and Erwin. My Clark Ultralight was set up on the side of the mountain about 50 yards above the trail on a 30 degree slope.

    Nice Pic. I wish I knew more about hammocking. Looks like peace and quiet. i wonder how comfortable that set up is for all night.

    The setup is very comfortable, certainly much more so than a tent. You've got to be careful about that first step in the morning though when you're camped on a hill!

    I buckle mine to one of the trees it's tied to with the sterum strap over the rope to keep it off the ground. If it looks like rain, I put the rain cover over it. You can also just lay it on the ground under the hammock.
