The Horse Shoe Trail runs from Valley Forge (near Phila.) to the AT, 9.5 miles north of Peter's Mountain Shelter, and 8.0 miles south of Rausch Gap Shelter. It is threatened by suburban sprawl, and listed as an "endangered trail" by the Keystone Trails Association.
