This is the footbridge across Laurel Fork, just north of Laurel Falls Shelter, then Laurel Fork Falls, then Dennis Cove. I didn't stop by the shelter last year, but spoke with a guy who said it was trashed and infested with rats.

Brown Mountain Creek Shelter is in central Virginia, just south of Buena Vista. The AT parallels the creek on a very level trail for 6+ miles, with a few shorter bridges crossing that creek.
