Description by refreeman
Rain deluged the Berkshires turning the AT into a rushing steam with puddles six inches deep. Loud rolling thunder and frequent violent lighting strikes kept me from summiting Mount Everett until the storm passed and continued its attack on distant highlands. The lowlands were left blanketed in fog and clouds. The day was warm and sunny just two hours earlier.
