The elements is what makes me hike .... i love the smooth cool spring days or hiking in pristine weather ... but i also absolutely love the weather that can spring up on you .. be it the rain/wind or monsoon ... heh ... nothing like laying in your tent and listening to the distance or cracking thunder while the rain drips the sounds of music that just puts you to sleep .... natures best, and obviously safety first ... but in mild rain/thunder "not near trees hopefully" ... its so relaxing.
