I would say this is looking southbound, with the bald just north out of Carver's Gap being the bald just to right of center and the center mountain in the distance being Roan High Knob on the other side of Carver's Gap and the mountain to the left of it being Roan Mtn. Just a guess, since I was in this spot weekend before last. LOL Looks as if you can even see the road down to the left just a bit, in the North Carolina side.
