Found this nice 4 ft Black Snake on a sunny Sunday Afternoon. He didn't take too kindly to having his photo taken.

In Greene County Tennessee Afton community. My back yard actually. Not exactly on the AT but at least I can see the AT from where this snake was! -

What kind of bite would one of these guys give? Where I live in Georgia, they are all over the place in the summer months. Gorgeous long snake. I know they eat rattlesnakes and have heard that researchers are trying to isolate the gene that makes them immune to venom. Great photo. -
