Mt. Garfield (4,500 ft) is to the left of this photo taken while descending Mt. Lafayette (5,260 ft). On the right/center is Galehead Mt. (4,024 ft) where you’ll find the AMC Galehead Hut. Rising behind Galehead is South Twin Mt. (4,902 ft). The Twinway (AT) rises 1,150 feet in .8 miles to reach the summit of South Twin. The Presidential Range is visible in the far distance.

On a clear day such as this, you can see the smoke from the cog rail ascending Mt. Washington -- interesting yet not exactly pretty.
