For northbounders, approximately 0.4 mile north of the Stillhouse Hollow Road and Means Hollow Road intersection, the A.T. passes Milesburn Cabin, which is maintained by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, in Reservoir Hollow. Just past the cabin, the A.T. crosses a small spring and Milesburn Road, and then begins a steep ascent from approximately 1680 feet elevation to almost 1900 feet elevation onto Big Flat Ridge. The ascent is eased somewhat by some stone steps. This is a view of the A.T. marker at Milesburn Road. SoBo 1098.6 NoBo 1080.5.
