Originally built in the 1930's this lodge was rebuilt in 2000 with great results. The site is just below the Forehead on Mount Mansfield, the highest mountain in Vermont. Great Views of Lake Champlain to the west. Water can be hard to find, the closest sure water is 1.3 miles south near the Twin Brooks Tenting Area. The Caretaker might know of some secret pools. A GMC fee site ($6?).
