North of the Mont Alto Road crossing (PA Route 233), the A.T. begins an ascent of Rocky Mountain from an elevation of approximately 1600 feet to an elevation of approximately 1800 feet. Approximately 0.3 mile north of the Mont Alto crossing, the A.T. crosses an unidentified gravel road which leads to a water tower located east of the trail. This is a view of the A.T. looking east from the gravel road crossing. SoBo 1110.6 NoBo 1068.5.
