Description by wilconow

wilconow

Found on the Andy Layne trail, October 2006. These looked like Potatoes, but when you took the skin off, it resembled a mango by look and smell. Help?

I think it is a pawpaw as well, interesting thing, the name is derived from the word papaya....which is what the people thought they were.

Its a pawpaw, I have pawpaws growing down the lane I walk. Tall skinny trees with a leaf that have single long lobes. Looks like a squirrel might have taken a bite taste.
