North of the Pogo Memorial Campsite the A.T. follows an old wagon road along the crest of South Mountain for approximately two miles. The ascents and descents are gradual over soft ground, but it becomes increasingsly rockier the further north you go. This is a view of the A.T. looking north at a point apporximately one mile north of the Pogo Memorial Campsite. SoBo 1137.7. NoBo 1040.6.
