This boardwalk and bridge was built by the NY/NJ Trail Conference. Over 40,000 volunteer hours were involved in the project. This boardwalk eliminated what was the longest road walk along the AT in 2000.

I hit this section near the end of a long but lovely day in late June this year. I\'m so glad that I waited 30 years to do the High Point to Warwick Turnpike section and avoid the 20 miles of road walking that used to be there!
