Description by gghiker
My local stomping grounds. The remains of a beyond ancient range, now molehills. Runs along the Pageland fault separating Piedmont from Sandhills. Main feature of the area is a solid dome of pageland granite (an aggregate granite unique to the fault area) But as you can see, lots of wetlands and creeks in the valleys (even a lake-sized beaver pond) The park also features waterfalls and caves, and several endangered species common only to the area, yet is virtually unknown to the outside world. And usually deserted, lucky me.
