    Not positive but I think that might be Chatuge Lake near Hiawassee, if you're on Tray Mtn.

    Agreed, definitely not Fontana Lake. My guess is that this is Lake Burton, which is just east of Helen, Georgia. I think that the outlook from the Tray Mountain Shelter provides an easterly view. Chatuga Lake is northwest of Hiawassee, which is significantly farther away.

    Thanks guys. A day hiker said he was from the area & told me that it was Fontana. I did not check it out before posting the pic. Now at home months later I can see no way could it be Fontana.
