Titanium and Carbon Fiber External Pack Frame

Don't those nuts and bolts holding it all together standa pretty good chance of wearing on the hiker's back? What is the possibility of reversing that arrangement to put the flat face toward the hiker. A few small patches of cordura would limit the impact of the hardware on the packbag.
