It's either one of those high lift toilets for the handicapped or the hunter that set this up just knew he was going to see the BIGGEST deer ever. Heading up Cove Mtn, Va from Trout Creek. 4-2003
A few years ago I saw this in the woods when the Konorock crew was doing work in the area. I think they were using it as a latrine. So, I don't know who stole it from who but, it's getting a lot of good use.

Ever sat in a treestand for 5-6 hours? Your butt will HURT!!!! A toilet seat might not be that bad. Either that or it's a joke or a way to keep folks from stealing the thing or "squatting."

If I recall correctly, Konnarock was retiring that particular latrine chair, and the treestand seemed like as good a place as any to put it. That would have been in 2001, when they were working on the relo bringing the trail closer to Pickle Branch Shelter.
