For northbounders, approximately 2.3 miles north of the Wertzville Road, PA Route 944, crossing and after cresting Blue Mountain, the A.T. descends approximately 500 feet in elevation into a small valley, and then rises approximately 200 feet in elevation over Little Mountain. This is a view of the trail looking south in the valley between Blue Mountain and Little Mountain.
