This new sign in Baxter State Park directs northbound hikers to take a hike. It's the '02 AT reroute that steers hikers away from Daicey Pond (which is only 100 yards straight ahead) and the glorious view of Katahdin across the pond. The cabin campers didn't like the AT hikers, so BSP took out the shelters and rerouted the trail away from Daicey Pond.
