TJ aka Teej

This trail, older than the AT, climbs from Abol Campground in Baxter State Park and connects with the AT about a mile south of Baxter Peak. It's often the first trail on Katahdin to open in the spring, and is a popular route to the Tableland for day hikers.

    Awesome, we went up the Abol Slide in 2002 and down the Hunt...would not want anything to do with Abol in rain/sleet or snow but it was a quick way up.
