Shooting Star Shelter (LT) This post and beam shelter was built in September 2002 and it replaced the original 1930's shelter that was toppled by heavy snows during the winter of 2000-2001. It sits on ledge nestled between two woodsy knobs between North Jay Peak and the Canadian Border. The water source is a hand pump that can fail in drought.
