Trapper John Shelter A Dartmouth Outing Club Shelter named for the fictitous surgeon from the M*A*S*H 4077 who was fictitously a graduate of the very non-fictitous College that maintains the site. I'm hoping for a new DOC "Michael Corleone Shelter" or perhaps "The Godfather Shelter". Well, its an adequate shelter with an old chimney in front but the water is unreliable, the brook down the bank from the site fails most summers. Northbounders should keep an eye out for pools of water in the brook beds below Holt's Ledge as they approach the shelter. I found water there in Aug '99.
