AT on the south side of Bear Mountain On the south side of Bear Mountain in CT, the AT goes thru this lush forested growth where the trail is clear and well marked and easy to follow. My daughter Stacy and her friend Bryan were 9 when this picture was taken on Sept. 14, 1991. They hiked the AT from Race Brook all the way to Salisbury, CT on this day.
