...Just moved to Bristol, VA and live about 30 minutes from the trail, 40 minutes from Damascus. Even have a job with a view of the mountains from campus!

yes it is us. hope all is well with everyone. we miss you. life was much better slacking to maine. lol. we did complete our goal though and poor hummingbird got lymes on the MA/VT border. fun times, great memories, and even better friends. peace

Hope everyone had a great holiday. As for me, I had to work. Wak and I are still settling in Asheville, NC. Things are great with us and we still get out and hike as much as we can. Actually thinking of a weekend again here soon. I want to do some winter hiking maybe in the Smokies! If any of you guys are ever in Asheville, let us know. Oh yea, Christmas JAm is just around the corner!
Hey all, hope 09 is starting off great for you all. I guess the first of the Thruhikers are starting for 09 and it makes me wanna drop everything and go back out. Alas, responsibility calls. Wak and I are exploring the idea of the Pacific Crest Trail in a few years. We are reading up on it and just trying to get a trip planned to go visit and do a small section in the Sierras.
We really miss the trail and think of it daily. We have met a few SOBO's these past couple of months and have been back to the trail periodically.
So we look forward to 09 and the various trail happenings coming up . hoping to make SO Ruck and will def make it to Traildayz.

Oh SNAP-- what's up man!! Belated Congrats to you and WAk for achieving something pretty awesome. I have been totally out of it for the past year. Both my folks have had some serious health concerns this year and have needed a lil help gettin by. Hope everything is goin good in Asheville( sure it is).
