My father recently passed (unexpectedly). His trail name was Sky Blue. He was a French Canadian hiking NOBO starting April 4, 1994 to August 23. It's a long and complicated story, but I only developed a relationship with him when I was 19 or so. We became very close. I'd love to talk to anyone who knew him or had met him during his thru-hike. I love hearing stories.

He put together a little book from the journal he kept during his hike. He wrote every night. I miss him, and I plan to try and thru-hike around the same age he did (when I turned 38). I'm completely inexperienced when it comes to hiking and camping, so I've been taking it slow.

Anyway, please let me know if you know anything.
