The fire has covered about 1800 acres and the fire lines appear to to follow the Spence Ridge trail down to the river and follows the river down to the Cambric Ridge trail back up to Chimney Gap and follows the trail down to the intersection below the outward bound camp at FS 210 and follows FS 210 back up to Spence Ridge Trail head. http://www.hcpress.com/news/table-ro...ero-percent-co
the smoke has spread over to the Boone area and the Wilson's Creek Wilderness was so full of smoke today you could not see Table Rock from Blowing Rock it was thick. We are getting a good rain tonight which will help alot to stop the fire and clear the smoke.
I found these amazing pictures taken Thursday night from Wiseman's view.

I hate to see it burning. Do they know how it started? I read that it started in the picnic area.

Last report from USFS
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, fire investigators would appreciate talking with the group who were camping at Table Rock Picnic Area last Monday, Veteran’s Day. Investigators believe this group has information that would aid in the investigation. A reward may be offered for substantial information regarding this investigation and persons should contact Law Enforcement Officer Jason Crisp at828-442-2470 or the Grandfather Ranger District at 828-652-2144.
I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.
