Default Water north of MOC in NJ

Anyone have any info on how the water is running north of the MOC to Unionville, NY? I'm going out early next week and want to be prepared. Thanks!

I did Route 206 Culvers Gap to Vernon, NJ 10 days ago. All listed water was available. If staying at Pochuck Mountain Shelter, get the water at the house at the bottom of the hill. 2 guys showed up SOBO and did not get water at the stream on that side of the "mountain" and had to 350' DOWN to get it. Check out the Murray Property, it is 100 yards off trail and beautiful!

Thanks no-name! I planned on stopping for a break at Murray's property ... should be a great trip.

There should be plenty of water, and if not, plenty of local amenities along the way. A good stop is Heaven Hill Farm on 94 in Vernon.

Much of the water in NJ is from ponds/lakes or spigots so you don' t have many dry sections. Many hikers overlook unique sources, for example Mashipacong shelter is listed as dry, but the caretaker keeps a water cache in the bear box.

Water is available at Culvers Gap from the deli or Kevin's depending on the day or time.

Water is available at the High Point ranger station. I used the visitor water fountain just outside.

Jim's place has good water just before Unionville.

for those continuing north, hit the spigot on the White House going up Pochuck. Amazing how many show up at the shelter asking where the water is at.

Heaven Hill farm offers water and picnic tables for hikers and expensive snacks. Top off here before summitimg Wawayanda.

The spigot at Wawayanda ranger station is an easy walk from the shelter.

Good hiking! I enjoyed New Jersey when I passed through.
