What does and where do the "votes" mean/go for on my image gallery?

The Votes is actually put in there when someone rates on of the photos. If you bring up a photo, there will be a green bar above the photo. To the right on the green bar you will see "Rating". If you click on rating then you can rate the image, which in turn will add votes to it.
