    Since you're heading SOBO, there's one very dry stretch of trail to be aware of... the northernmost! From Journey's end to Shooting Star Shelter is usually bone dry, and often Shooting Star's source is unreliable. There's beautiful water at Laura Woodward Shelter, but at times, you'll have to carry enough from the start to get there. It can also get pretty dry on Lincoln Mtn. from Appalachian Gap to Battell Shelter... depends on the year. Unless it's a very unusual year, the rest of the LT usually has more than enough water.
