Default Easiest/Closest Options for Greyhound Access to AT in Virginia

Could someone offer suggestions concerning the various/closest Greyhound stops closest to the AT? Im interested in doing a section hike in Virginia but need to know the best ways to get on and off the trail using Greyhound access.
Also, if you are planning a trip over to this section of the AT from the midwest and are interested in sharing gas expense and possible even hiking together then fire me an e-mail.
    Thank you.

Marion, Wytheville, and Roanoke are three. Megabus goes to Christiansburg.

Waynesboro (That's the entry to Shenandoah National Park) .and the trail angel network for the final ride from town to trail.
they pick you up within minutes and deliver you. And it's free. Chamber of commerce for phone numbers, I suppose.
They are posted where the trail crosses the road South of town and may be available on WhiteBlaze somewhere also.

If I'm not mistaken, that bus route that used to run between Staunton and Charlottesville (with stop in Waynesboro) no longer exists. I think Charlottesville is as close as you can get to the S end of the Shenandoah NP.

In 2003 I took the bus to Waynesboro (dropped of at Weasies). I also picked it up at the same spot in 2002 and went back to FL by Greyhound. Last I checked, there was no more bus routes the that area.
