Thru Hike attempt documented by a professional writer

We've all read numerous documentations of thru hiking attempts but I found this one to be one of the best written ones I've ever encountered.

There have been quite a few outstanding writers, professional or not, who've hiked the AT. In fact, John Henzell (aka Rolling Thunder) is hiking the trail this year. He's a "real" writer, a paid journalist from New Zealand, and he often covers many of those newsworthy stories from the middle east.
