love reading through the blogs/journals. i'm "only" a section hiker this year - hoping to do about 1,000 miles - but will probably have a journal as well.

I am keeping one as well. First time keeping a blog, so we will see how this goes... Planning to start in NJ next week, hike for two weeks, take a week off for a family thing, then start in Georgia around April 15th. http://MChikestheAT.blogspot.com

I'm in Franklin, NC with my 14 year old son. We are just over 100 miles in.

We are doing a TJ, but it is more for ourselves, friends and family, but if interested, it's trailjournals.com/camel2012

It will be updated about once a week on our zero.

we're in Franklin too, holed up by the weather. Seems it was a popular decision to head in....

I've never blogged before, not sure I am now, but due to pressure from friends and family, I am trying to do a journal here:

We're doing Springer to Harpers Ferry as well but will be a few weeks ahead of you - starting March 30.

Great cause you're hiking for. I spent two months in the Western Cape and thought Stellenbosch was gorgeous.

I am blogging, but I suck at blogging. So my friends/family are blogging my hike in their own ways.
