    Default Gear Testers Wanted

Hey guys! I'm a part of a site called "Gear Invasion". It's been in planning for a few months and is getting closer and closer to it's official launch. I'm getting excited!

Anyway - GI is looking for a few good men/women to test some gear. If you're interested please check out this link: http://gearinvasion.com/2013/02/05/wanted-gear-testers/

The website is still in "BETA", if you will, and has not officially launched. We're looking for experienced individuals who can write very in depth reviews. The review on the site now is actually a summary I posted for another gear site and should not be viewed as a template for GI reviews. Email with any questions (check out the link above first, though!): [email protected]

they are looking for know-it-all's with big egos. you will do it for free and get to keep a $10 can waterproofing even if it doesn't work
did you catch the line "Each piece of gear we receive from our partners" Partners? had to be bias if your partners with the manufacturers.
I'm so confused, I'm not sure if I lost my horse or found a rope.

Hey Kayak Karl! We're definitely not looking for big egos or know-it-alls. This is for people who are already in the outdoors often and are willing to thoroughly test new gear. We have to be picky because a lot of people thing gear testing is getting a new piece of gear and saying "it was good/bad/okay". We want details. GI strives to provide very detailed descriptions of all the gear we test.

Yes - we have partners. These are manufacturers who want experienced individuals to test their gear and write reviews. Each partner is told that we will publish an honest review of each product - if the product sucks, we say it sucks. We're not in the business to suck up to big names and get free gear - we're in the business to provide the best damn reviews of outdoors equipment on the web.

Hope this clears up any confusion!

We've got a TON of qualified applicants (and a few not-so-qualified applicants) so far! Keep 'em coming!

Overwhelmed by the number of applicants - sho' dang! We're taking applications until 2/10, so get them in soon if you're interested! We just got a new supplier lined up - pretty pumped.
