He looks happier and healthier in his newest mug shot than in any others-I'll bet the Trail did help him, as it helps all of us, in its own way.

I may regret asking this, but who is Rife?

It's Rifle, another wannabe thru-hiker that started early that thought it was cool to crave his name in a shelter.

    Default Triple Crown Yo-Yo attempt.

It's nice to think the being on the trail helped him but in reality he was only on it for 3 or 4 days. Since then he's been in jail for twice as long. My guess is that it's because he's been getting three marks a day, sleep, and no drugs that made him look a little more healthy.

I love reading about these epic failures and then going to the beginning of the thread and laugh at all the people who thought this was remotely possible.

Speaking of epic failures....did Nature Boy recover from his 1 AM tent rousing?

Dont put nature boy in the same class with clown like this guy and the other epic wannabes. I met nature boy and he had the ability to set the unsupported record. He may not have achieve it in '11 but any single record attempt is a low probability event regardless of who attempts it. Everything has to good in your favor.

Maybe all speed hike attempts should be held in quarantine in the humor forum for a period of time before releasing to the trail run/speed hike forum.

    Don't forget the "grills"

He actually has some talent in making some of his videos, too bad (or just as well) most only have about 50 views. He's too whacked for me to want to be around and that's saying something.

I never met him but I saw too many posts where his claims all turned out to be false.

With all the people sending him money it's probably too lucrative not to hike!

    Holy thread revival Batman!!!

Yes folks, the original thread that started it all is back.
My opinion of DJ might be changing for the better because it looks like he got a job for a while which is what he really needs and that photo of him and Bob on his facebook page is, well, priceless.

i just moved from Canton Ga a year and half ago. If I still lived there I would have to run down to Walmart and meet him. If he gets to Pa. I will hand deliver him a few half lb. Reese's Cups since he likes them.

That's ironic, I did just the opposite. Moved from Pa to Canton Holly/Springs.
