that's an impressive list there, lots of great music.

Yeah know....It wasn't but a few years ago that started back listening to music to the extent that I do these days, this I attribute directly to the hand me down Ipod that my daughter gave me...I love my Ipod and would not want to be without one ever again. Sure I had a Walkman (or my wife did) but life was just to busy back then (starting a family and working all the time) to sit around listening to music, Now I walk everywhere...and it's always with music or an audio book....and I love it...so glad that technology has come to be....it's awesome! and has allowed me to revisit some really fantastic tunes of yesteryear...thanks Ipod

I was fortunate enough to see them once in 95 before Jerry died. I was 16 and my brother had been to over 30 shows and begged my parents to let me go. We saw Ratdog play in Springfield, MA on 8/21/95 and a guy who looked like Jerry was sitting next to us, it was a bit chilling. Knockin' On Heaven's Door was so sad. I actually have End of the Road sitting on my DVD player right now waiting to be watched (it's on Netflix).

My brother then took me to my first Phish show in December 95 because he didn't know what else to do with me. I'm over 100 shows (please don't hate on me). Now I go mostly to see my friends that I never see outside of shows, less so for the music or the scene.

And since the OP asked, I went to one Wharf Rat meeting when I lived in Tampa and a couple at Furthur shows, but that's it. I've been involved in the Phellowship since 2009. I didn't think I would ever be able to go to a show again once I got sober, but then I discovered that group. Great people, some of my best friends.

I'm a huge GD fan! I was fortunate enough to "follow" them with some friends for about a dozen shows back in the day! Maddog

It's been almost 19 years since Gerry Garcia passed. Ask any fan where they were when they first heard the news, they know right where they were. It's not the first time Rolling stone has run a cover story of Gerry, and I suspect it won't be the last....On your news stands now, enjoy. This limited edition magazine is all Gerry...all the way through.

I was working and driving down the road, and my wife called me...tuned on my radio on it was on every station. Tooled on into a plumbing supply house we used as one of the owners was a big fan as well, and could see in his eyes he had already heard.
