    Default Trail Conditions

    Hey gang,

With the weather that just washed through, anybody know the trail conditions in southern va? I'm looking to do a day hike down a bit north or south of Damascus in a couple of weeks if possible.

In Sugar Mountain, NC now at about 5000 ft. The whole ridge got about 1-3 inches last night, and a bit more snow is expected this weekend. I am planning on doing a section south of Damascus on Saturday (weather permitting), so I may be able to update you later.

Wouldn't say I'm a newbie... got many years under my belt at this point. Was just looking to see what it is now to see if there's even any point in considering a hike. If folks were to say it's covered in 3 feet of snow already then I wouldn't bother getting my hopes up. Knowing that it's only a few inches (even with more coming this weekend) I can cross my fingers
