    Default SOBO Trail Journal Recommendations?

The title of the thread pretty much says it all... Most of the journals that I've seen recommended are NOBO (as most hikers are). I'd love to read about the experience going the other way, and get some more understanding of the challenges faced.

Here's a link to one I have been following this year by "Reese":

    http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?id=396920

It's better written and more interesting than most trail journals. He started later than most (August) and is hiking a little quicker than most (on pace to finish in a little over four months), but I hope you might still find it instructive.

    And welcome to Whiteblaze, Seabird!

I have an extremely lengthy SOBO TJ from 2006.
    If not NOW, then WHEN?

    I really enjoyed Marta's TJ.
The Barefoot Sisters wrote a book about their SOBO, done mostly barefoot: http://www.amazon.com/Barefoot-Siste...refoot+sisters
    and their website: http://www.barefoothikers.org/barefoot-sisters.html

I looked through the trailjournals.com database for SOBO journals of women under 30 years old starting their thru-hike on their own, since this matches your profile. Here are some for the last few years that are fairly thorough and are for women who completed their SOBO thru-hike:

    "Pounce," 2008: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=6216
    "BooBoo," 2007: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=5159
    "Twix," 2007: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=6013
    "Tasha Marie Purcell - Tinkerbell," 2004: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=2322
    "Tangent," 2004: http://www.trailjournals.com/entry.cfm?trailname=2030

Wow! Thank you so much map man... I'd tried skimming trailjournals.com and seen Reese's, but found most of the site a bit difficult to navigate. You found exactly what I was looking for!
