Oh yes, I check the hiker list and see you are starting April 5th. How fast are you two? I think I am not very fast...so there is a chance for a "hello".

Since we are both over 50, we will start out slow and build from there. No 15 mile days out of the gate for us! Because of that, we will never catch you.

Wasp your training regimen is nearly identical to mine. Although I don't call my daily walks training, I call it a lifestyle. A lot of people will tell you walking on flat ground will not help you in the mountains but it surely does. The one big thing you'll notice is how much more water it takes to stay hydrated when you walking up a mountain verses walking on flat ground. The first day out drink plenty of water or muscles will cramp.

Oh yes right...over the time the training becomes more a lifestyle... I think I am addicted to it, I am getting nervous if I canīt go out because work or other restrictions hinder me. I think better walking on flat ground then to do nothing and go in unprepared. Now I knowing my gear, learn a little bit over my body (feet, kneeīs, back, recovering etc.) and how dogs and *grrrr* huntsmen react to hikers
