GA-NC in November...

I have heard that there are "NO ticks" on the AT in Georgia in November... can anyone confirm this--preferably based on experience?

Also, if ANYone has ANY other advice, I would be most grateful. I've hiked about 600 miles on the Florida Trail, but am an AT virgin until next Monday.

I hiked at section in early October. I did not have any ticks. It is probably too cold.
